A father takes his son to a gallery. The father is disengaged from the boy as the child is looking at one of the exhibits, he does not hear what the child says about the sculpture. This is the start of the imaginary section where the figures come alive and act out what the boy imagined. The final scene has the figures rising up and disappearing through the ceiling of the gallery. This leaves the story open to interpretation as to where they go.
